Interning at WhizKey

This summer I got to intern at one of the most futuristic companies, WhizKey Future Labs, Dubai! The company provides solutions and customizable products related to artificial intelligence, blockchain and much more.

Doing an internship for the first time can often be disappointing, usually, companies only give menial work to their fresh-faced interns. However, I was pleasantly surprised when my first assigned work turned out to be an in-depth market research report on the AI sector in UAE. I must admit that AI has been something I did not pay close attention to since it felt complicated at first glance. On top of that, the only AI implementations I knew were robots and chatbots!

As I got assigned more work and reports, I did more research and thus, gained a better understanding of AI. I was amazed to learn that it is applied in a wide range of industries, from healthcare to video games to finance! So, it’s not an exaggeration when people say that AI really is the future.

As I’m nearing the end of my internship, I looked back and am thankful that I got to gain practical knowledge, valuable experience, presentation skills and a newfound interest in AI.
