Not a Mystery Anymore

Things were heading down a twisting road. His birthday came up and I insisted on us celebrating it. Then, he admitted to me I was his “only weakness.” One day, we all went out exploring some ancient ruins. That’s when the Mysterious Drake became less of a mystery. I told him I cared about him and he said he cared about me too. But… he couldn’t do that to Mark.

That night when we played Never Have I Ever and I won, I made the stakes a kiss. He kissed me for the second time. It was even better than the first. But, I could see the conflict in his eyes.

He told me that he wanted this, but I would be better off with Mark. That Mark could give me everything he couldn’t. That he was the prince that the princess (me) deserved.

Everything changed after that. He stuttered over his words for a bit until I said I wanted to be with him. We kissed and things only got complicated more for us. Now, we snuck into each others beds every night (get your head out of the gutter ((actually you’re right but shhh))).
