Design For Social Needs

The process of creating a design can be brief or lengthy and complicated, involving considerable research, negotiation, reflection, modeling, interactive adjustment, and re-design.

Design covers most of the aspects it’s not just specific to making a creative artwork, it also consists of generating solution for various issues, it’s basically about generating creative solutions to the problem that are already existing.

Listed below are the few areas where design can play a great part in improving the things:

This has been a major issue for many people during this situation, people go to buy essentials and since there are specific timing during which free movement is allowed so, going out and finding the shop closed is disappointing, also standing in a long queue while maintaining the social distancing and other norms cannot be fully followed. Apart from this while getting the essentials the shopkeeper has to deal with one person at a time, and when managing a huge number of audience it gets tiring for them as well.
So with the help of design, I want to make this channel ease for both the customer and the shopkeeper, this can easily be achieved by creating a medium which will provide information regarding opening timing, items availability and other important things.

A person who provides us with the food requirements for our daily needs is the one who doesn’t even have, 3-times meal a day. This is the thing that many of us know about and we try to help in some of the other small ways but that’s not actually helping, there are provisions for the same but that are not effective.

With the technology being upgraded every day, new things coming up every now and then, it becomes difficult for our parents or grandparents to get updated with the new technology, it takes less time for us to get used to the new technologies, but for them that can be very challenging at times, and we cannot always be there with them assisting them with the same. We need to not just help them understand the technology but also create their interest for the same to learn new technologies.
To make such a thing happen technologies acceptance model for elderly, assistive technology, these can be utilized.

In the modern-day lifestyle that we are living, we at times don’t even know who our neighbor is, we get so much into our lives and being active on social media platforms that we don’t have any idea who are the people around us.
We are always looking for solutions digitally, whether it is ordering groceries, or buying a house, we get so much involved digitally that we might not value the person who is next to us, maybe we have a great artisan as our neighbor but we are looking for someone living miles away.
So to give a voice to the local artisan around our community, there needs to be a medium that helps the local grow, this would be a great help for the local artesian who are on the urge of getting extinct and losing their value due to the digitization.

In the times of so much competition for whichever field we work in, we cannot just stick with one thing and feel that we have achieved it all, we need to develop a skill set that can do different things as well.
Considering designing as a career, if we are a Graphic Designer, we might want to learn, say Interaction design as that may be a field of interest for us but since we don’t have much of an idea how we can achieve that, or even if we start making something into that we don’t have guidance whether we are doing it right or not, maybe we are just designing and designing but we don’t have an idea on basic points and having a mentor every time is not possible.
So keeping such things in mind, an Artificial Intelligence-based design assistant can actually help in such a scenario to guide you, provide you with practical solutions to such things.

In times with the increase in the number of career options, confusion has also increased. There is ’n’ number of things that a child can take us as a career but for that, they need a proper guidance, whether it will be good for them, what are the possibilities of that, whether they can do that, and many more.
It’s now not just the child’s problem but also parent’s, because they are also not aware of all the new possibilities for a career option, they might not be sure that whether the thing that their child is choosing is good for them or not.
So there need to be medium where both children and parents get to know these things and the child can take up test to know what is good for them. Not just assisting them but also guiding them at such a crucial time.

It’s a serious developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. In India itself there are over a million cases per year. There’s no cure for autism. But early treatment can make a big difference in development for a child with autism.
Since there is no such cure for it, we need to pay special attention that such people do not have further injuries or mishaps that can make the condition even worse.
Applied Behavior Analysis is one of the treatments that is given to improve the condition, but we need to look at how can we generate a solution that will help in the treatment and can be utilized by everyone with such disorder.
