Dundalk Jiu Jitsu star Cillian Shields is named Omniplex Sports Star of the Week

Youngster tops the poll with 46% of the vote

Congratulations to Dundalk Jiu Jitsu For Everyone member Cillian Shields who has been voted the Omniplex Dundalk Sports Star of the Week.

Cillian secured a gold medal at the recent North South Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Challenge in Carrickmacross by winning all four of his fights in the 6–12 year-old 35kg division.

He topped the poll with 46% of the vote, followed by Collette O’Hagan (35%) of North East Runners in second and Andrew McGahon (8%) of Team Torres in third.

Cillian wins a FREE FAMILY PASS to Dundalk Omniplex. Thanks to the thousands who took time to vote. The nominees for next week’s award will be announced on Monday evening.
