Why Unhappiness is Killing Us

Society is projecting its deepest truth.

We can all see and feel how the political and social climate has been changing lately. Something we think is new and recent but has been slowly happening for many decades now.

Whether it has been planned or is just the natural course of humanity, I don’t know. But as an observer, I feel all the problems we are now facing are rooted in one thing: most of society is unhappy.

I don’t mean that poor people are unhappy because they don’t have a better car or home. I don’t mean that homosexuals are unhappy because they are not able to marry whoever they want all over the world. I don’t mean that women are unhappy due to the ‘patriarchy’.

People that claim to be victims of a big and oppressive society are those that have no confidence in themselves and truly believe that their efforts are useless and unworthy. Because they have not been able to grow their Self by truly life-changing challenges.

And the list can go on. Until society gets back to its nature, where we get what we truly crave, which is: freedom, uncertainty, and responsibility, we will continue spiraling down this political and societal catastrophe.

Comfort, knowing exactly that we have to apply no effort to have food, shelter, and a place in the community, are depriving us of the…
