From the age of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Aluminium to modern industrial revolution. We Humans have emerged from the dune of dust to glories of stars. The 1918 Influenza epidemic killed fifty million people, WWII killed another sixty million people and faced many natural disastrous challenges. Despite such unrest, political and economical bearishness, this period also saw exponential development both scientifically and culturally.
In his book “Abundance” The future is better than you think by Peter H. Diamandis and co-author Steven Kotler have issued the manifesto for 21st century grounded in practical solutions while addressing the global challenges.
Diamandis showcased his own pyramid of abundance which is categorized in three parts. Firstly, laying the basis of the pyramid through exponential technologies providing the tools for cooperation and global collaboration, clean water as basic and a vital necessity for everyone to live, prosper and rise, to feeding the nine billion. Secondly, the forces for abundance i.e. DIY innovation, rising breed of technophilanthropists to the what he calls “the rising billion.” Lastly, reaching the peak of the pyramid where author shred a light of great optimism while some having skepticism at bearish solar energy costs, clean nuclear energy, new norm of universal digital education with global access universal healthcare to freedom of choice and speech.
