Google has produced Google Adsense, Analytics and Google Ads under the Grow Your Business product category. Google ads advertise our business online, Adsense has created a platform to monetize our web / blog, as well as analyzes the behavior of traffic to our web site under Analytics.

To explain this, we need to clarify the concepts of Ad-network and Ad-exchange. Simply put, Ad Network is a mechanism that allows an advertiser to post their ad to multiple web sites on the Internet.

In other words, a web site can be registered with Google Adsense and set up an advert for someone else on our web page. Adsense collects full details about our website through their system, including they know what we’re writing on the web. When Adsense was registered with so many websites, as a large network (over two million people are already registered with GDN) and advertised through Adword (Google ads).

Google Ads are also a DSP (demand side platform). It is a method of assigning a value to the publisher’s web space. GDN can publish 20 banners for pre-defined sizes by Adsense.

Along with this I will explain a little about Programmatic platforms. Many people think of this concept as a magic. Because a few of my colleagues wanted to know about it from time to time. Google Ads are also a programmatic concept. It is a system designed to take web space from publishers on the Internet with CPC (cost per click) bidding. Programmatic is an automation of the purchasing process, of advertisers ads by publishers’ websites. Apart from Google, there are a lot of widely used programmatic platforms.

The concept of Ad Exchange is different from the Ad Network because this platform allows us to publish ads directly. This allows us to position our ads directly on the website.

Double-click is one of the most popular ad-exchanges in the world, launched in 1997 but bought by Google in 2017. It behaves like a DSP and has the ability to override the limits of a GDN network. Advertisers who can spend more money for ad exchanges will get more benefits from it.
