Purging my shame

For those of you who come to my posts for that tech fix, this is going to be far from it. But if you are the typical technical person who tends more towards being introverted (like me) then do give…

Word Limit

Yes, you go it right. Word Limit!

How many of you feel obliged to have a word limiter in your respective social media platforms like Gmail, Facebook, Instagram etc. The app makers just cut you off in the middle from expressing your thoughts completely and force you to end your expression then and there. Well, to be accurate they stop us from emptying ourselves most of the time. It made our feelings short and staright to the users who stalk us. In this era where people like to blog most of the time then to talk really, I believe have a word limiter is totally a bonus. We all had this invisible benefit form this little limit we have on our social life.

But what if we have the same in our real life. Let me get this straight. Just imagine the times when we are in our creation phase in our mothers womb. Like the organs we got, just imagine if we had a word limit to our mouth. In this modern age the whole world runs around conversations. Let it be a presentation in the office you have to give, political promises you need to make, an argument with a random stranger down the street and finally back-bitching our own mates. Obviously no one on this planet would like to keep a count on how many words they speak except Sophia, the robot who got a citizenship in Saudi Arabia. Speaking of humans, lets assume a word limit of 7.7 Billion words for each person on this planet. Don't get confused by the number, I just assumed a worst case where a single person talks to each and every human on this planet.

Now I know most of you would have dreamt it to be your net worth in total but lets just get back to reality and continue reading the story. Imagine the loss we would get by this limitation we just forced on all the humans. All the unnecessary statements, arguments, debates, sentences, promises, requests, swearings and what not! With the limit on our mouth wont we be a little careful on what we speak? We would be having a world without the pointless debates on the media channels, typical promises by all the politicians, the advice we get from our neighbours and the things we speak of generally.

Wont our lives be as short and simple as an Instagram description you write for a post? We had this one point in or life where we would think about taking back a word we unnecessarily spoke. Wont this constraint help us to avoid such circumstances?

My answer is yes for all of the questions mentioned above. It may a highly unacceptable approach to achieve world peace but it would reduce the amount of distortion we have now in our lives. I believe it is a better approach than having all the words printed on our selves right after we speak(Please do ignore the space constraint the body has!).

This is some crazy idea which did strike my mind. Now I know we cant implement this or bring this to existence by any chance but all I want to say is “Think Before you Speak” because regret is one worst feeling you cannot get over with.
